Functionality available in the system upon its initial release
Introduction
This document outlines the key functionality included in the first release of BACAS Nova. The first release will capture the core functionality of the current BACAS system.
BACAS Nova has an interface developed in Blazor, which will allow us to carry out improvements to the system for future releases using the most up to date technologies, such as AI. There will be a constantly evolving roadmap for the product, highlighting the upcoming enhancements. The hosted nature of BACAS Nova will enable upgrades to be delivered quickly with increased frequency, with little/no disruption or resource required from your side.
Please note, there are also a series of other existing products that provide further functionality:
- BACAS web (Bookings), allows the funeral director to make bookings and upload paperwork
- BACAS web (Genealogy), allows the general public to search cemetery and crematorium registers
- BACAS Mapping, shows where a grave/lair is within your cemeteries and shows information relating to the grave/lair (e.g. burials, memorials and ownership details)
These additional systems are not changing, so if you are an existing customer, they will still be available to you when you move to BACAS Nova.
The mapping will initially be set up in the same way as the current BACAS system, although the UI, as with the rest of the system, is much improved. This will mean, if you are an existing BACAS customer, your map can be enabled and maintained in the same way as it is presently.
