How do I add a new department to OneVu?
First login to OneVu Control (see here if this means nothing)
Then click on Data Silos. Once you've done this you will see a list of departments that are already in place.
But at the bottom will be the following option:
A static data silo is basically a department that will have questions and answers / content that does not rely on back office integration.
When you click the 'Activate' button it will open the following screen:
The first thing you need to do is change the silo title to be whatever your department name will be e.g. Licensing. And then add a sub-title too. E.g. Information about licensing, and how to apply.
By default the format of questions and answers will be boxes that contain both the question and answer. This format is OK if you have short questions and answers but in general you are best to update this to be expandable questions and answers.
To do this you need to change the Silo template base to be:
./silo-detail-template-faq-single.html
Simply copying and pasting this in will achieve the desired result.
