2.7 Release
1) Child Care options for partners
Are now the same for partners as claimants. Meaning that if a partner has multiple children associated with them that have childcare costs present on them it is now possible to update multiple children in one go. This is what was already the case for claimants.
2) Dependants can have student status
Previously we had the logic set that only claimants, partners and non-dependants could become a student. However, it has been reported that this has been an issue particularly for those over 16.
Thus, we have now enhanced the logic to enable children to also be able to become students.
The following amendments have been made to the eChanges service:
1) Non-dependant relationships and back end logic
Prior to this release when a non-dependant moved in with another we were setting the relationship between the parties in the XML. However, this has been amended so that it does this and also sets the NDGroup element in the XML.
What this means to users is that if John McMahon moves into a property with Claire McMahon and they are in a non-dependant relationship, the back office is clearly made aware of this and the relevant non-dependant deduction will be taken without user intervention being required to set the non-dep grouping.
The following fixes have been done:
1) A correction has been done to prevent the living situation drop-down appearing blank in some rare circumstances.
