APAS Release Notes - April 2026

Media Screen Import Documents Feature:

Within the latest version of the media screen, the ‘Import Documents’ function now allows users to import documents or files from other cases within the same module, as well as from any module that uses the updated media screen — specifically Planning, Pre‑Planning, Enforcements, and Building Control.

Previously, this feature displayed all system modules, which caused confusion. The module list has now been refined so it only shows the areas from which documents and files can actually be imported.

Please note that while documents/files cannot be imported from the Enforcements module, files from other modules can still be imported into an Enforcements case.

Digital Signature – PIN changes are now recorded.

If a digital signature PIN needs to be changed for any reason, the system now records both the user who made the change and the date on which the change occurred.

Digital Signature – PIN now star‑masked for security

When entering a Digital Signature PIN, the system now obscures the entries by displaying asterisks instead of the actual numbers.

Digital Signature – Job title

A ‘Job Title’ look up field has now been added to the user digital signature configuration screen, enabling this to be included within the digital signature details when applied.
These are maintained within the Standard Code Table of the system (Number 505 – ‘Job Titles’).

Digital Signature – Display text now configurable

The system now supports configuration to display specified text beneath the digital signature image on generated documents. These configuration settings, maintained by the IEG Portal Team, include:

• Show officer name -> New configuration key: DIGITAL_SIGNATURE_APPEND_OFFICER_NAME (Default: true)
• Show job title -> New configuration key: DIGITAL_SIGNATURE_APPEND_JOB_TITLE (Default: false)
• Show signed date -> New configuration key: DIGITAL_SIGNATURE_APPEND_SIGNED_DATE (Default: true)

Digital Signature – Signature images now encrypted

The system now automatically encrypts digital signature images stored in the database.
