How do I change the visibility of a questions - including dynamic visibility?
Adding to the ability to add back office values into answers without having to contact IEG4, we have built a very powerful dynamic visibility function into OneVu. So for example if you wanted to only show a certain question when something was true in the data pulled from the back office you can.
The basics
By default a question once added will have a visibility of false. So always check this first if you don't know why you can't see a question.
The simplest rule change is to make it true which will then make the question appear in OneVu. This happens in real time.
Dynamic visibility based upon a back office value being true
The simplest type of dynamic visibility is adding a rule that says:
If something is true in the back office - show this question.
For example - if the person pays by direct debit then show the question but don't show it if they pay via another method.
It is simple to work out what to put in this box. I simply found the relevant template field in the Data Items -DirectDebitInPlace:
