Introduction to Open Process
OpenProcess inception was as the key means of enabling true online progress checking for digital service requests in IEG4's OneVu product. With 40%+ of contacts to councils simply people chasing up when something would be done, OpenProcess became the progress tracking engine that ensured that there was the potential for all progressing checking to be done online and thus reduce avoidable contact.
But more than simply a tracking engine, OpenProcess provides a complete task management function. Enabling service requests received digitally through OneVu to be automatically distributed to the relevant team/users.
Additionally from the start there has been the ability to be proactive in keeping customers up to date with automated emails when stages in processes are started / finished. OpenProcess is a very important core product in our digital product suite and is constantly evolving. Reflective of this evolution, this user guide covers many new functions such as:
- The ability to set categories for processes enabling statuses/tags/identifiers to be set on processes
- The ability to filter/sort processes on My Tasks/Oversee Tasks
- The ability to automatically import scanned mail to create processes from
- The ability to automatically import extracts from back office applications to enable indexing of documents and processes to back office references
- The ability to link processes to one another
- The ability to map content from eDesigner built forms to a new Key Information tab
- The ability to view a map of where an issue was reported using a geolocation
