We have continued to enhance our Revenues Process Orchestration functionality and the following updates are available now.
Change of Address
1) The largest change in this release is new intelligent behaviour in the scenario where a person is reporting a move when a move has already been reported.
To explain, in a move a person moves out, a person moves in. There are circumstances where the person moving out has already reported that they moved out on the date in question. Prior to this release, because we wouldn't want to overwrite a valid change we would make this an exception and not automate it.
The issue with the above is a lot of the time the person moving out does not know or provide the name of the new owner. Therefore a Void account is created. When the new owner comes along and tries to report the move on the date, the system detected a move has already been done on that date and therefore stopped.
So now, a new check is place, which will check whether the account that exists on the date the person is doing the move in on is void or not. If it is not void it will be an exception as now. But more likely that it is VOID the process will now detect this and update the account as expected.
This function, in short, is a:
- New check to see if an account being moved into is VOID and
- IF it is the system will detect this and allow that account to be updated
2) When a person moved into a property and lived alone we would automate the SPD. However, if a person did a move within we would not. This has now been enhanced so that it is awarded automatically on all move types.
3) We have ensured that forwarding address is always updated on the address being moved out of.
4) When updating contact details we were sending the data in such a way that meant that they replaced those that already existed. A change has been made so they are added in addition to those that exist.

Single Person Discount
1) We have ensured that the forwarding address for people moving out is always set when it is provided.

Direct Debit
1) We have ensured that when a DD is set up the DD Caller information is also passed to Northgate. So the name of the person and their phone number (if provided is passed to Northgate as below).
